GEORGETOWN, CO — FEBRUARY 5

The Loveland Ridge Cat is officially open for the 2021/2022 ski season.

The free snowcat skiing option runs along the Continental Divide, bringing riders to locations that would otherwise involve a time-consuming hike. These include trails such as Field of Dreams, Velvet Hammer, Tickler, 13,010 and Marmot — conditions permitting.

The pickup point is at the top of Lift 9. Exit right and traverse just beyond Gate 1N. (map below)

What You’ll Need

The cat is free. But you’ll still need to bring a few things with you to hitch a ride:

  • A valid season pass or lift ticket

  • A Ridge Cat Pass (available for free at the Basin Ticket Office)

  • A mask or face covering to wear while on-board

The Ridge Cat will operate Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00am until 2:30pm as conditions and weather permit.
