I used to climb years ago, back in college, but found over time that exposed routes and elevation were creating more fear than enjoyment - I could say about climbing overall that "I didn't want it bad enough." I've turned to other sports since then. But I think "not wanting something badly enough" can be a great way to help us discern what to pare away in our incredibly busy lives. It's ok not to want something enough - hopefully it means you just want something else more.

We hope that the Outdoor Industry Association’s decision affirms their commitment to their member organizations and the recreation community, and that they will decide to hold the next tradeshow in a state that supports public lands and Tribal sovereignty.

I am committed to increasing the amount of Rec space in our District. Today I submitted a letter of support for a property acquisition request that will be heard on Wed by BPW for a site on Cheverly Rd that will add both indoor and outdoor recreation space for our community!

Your description of yourself sounds like you will fit right in among us Portland area natives! I’m not sick of people moving here 😊as long as you don’t expect us to change for you. You may have heard this before, but Portland Is Weird, at least compared to any cities East of the Rockies. During normal times we have lots of festivals, open air markets full of Local craftspeople and musicians, UFO festivals, Ship parades in the river, polar dips, naked bike rides, pant less train rides, microbrew festivals, wine festivals, agricultural shows (surrounding Portland still has a strong agricultural community).

There is little chance of a cyclist endangering anyone. The bicycle and movement virtually assure social distancing. If the cyclist keeps to him/herself and doesn’t touch shared surfaces, what is the risk? At least this is true in countries like the USA where only a small portion of the population rides. Perhaps somewhere like Denmark or the Netherlands where cycling is much more popular there may be some increased risk

Legendary waterfowl hunting guide, Ralph Kohler of Tekamah, NE, has passed away at 104 years of age. What a life! I was able to hunt with him a few times and had him on my radio show on occasion
