SALIDA, CO — March 2nd, 2022
Monarch Mountain is set to host a slopestyle competition in its Steel City Terrain Park. The Competition is scheduled for Sunday, March 6th.
Snowboarders and skiers of all ages are welcome to compete. If you’re looking to participate:
Registration will take place the day of the competition, on the Monarch Mountain deck, between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
Registration costs $20
Competitors must have a season pass or day ticket to access the lifts
Competitors must sign a release of liability waiver
A competitor meeting will be held at the top the Steel City Terrain Park at 11:00 a.m.
Competition begins at 11:15 a.m.
There will be two judged runs per competitor, based on style, technique, and amplitude
“Steel City is the new name of our full-size terrain park located on the Ramble trail,” said Monarch Event Coordinator Kathryn Wadsworth. “The terrain park was recently dedicated with its new name and is ready for competitors to grind the rails and get big air off the well-groomed jumps.”
