I’m sure whatever new discoveries to be found in the tropics will be written down and observed as remarkably as those found in the mountains. It’s too bad Colorado is losing a very good voice, but I look forward to the new setting! All the best, Cole.

Best wishes to you, Cole! Just write when/if you feel like it and when a topic moves you. I hope you saw my last post about "mental health in the mountains," maybe it'll help you get through a stressful time. take care!

I really appreciate it! And yes, I did, thank you. Sometimes it hard to take your own advice on a topic, and it's helpful to hear the perspective from others!

We all need breaks. Congrats on the new adventure! We need to talk about conservation and outdoor exploration in all climates, even if mountains are your first love 😉

Absolutely! I think there's no shortage of topical tropical topics on conservation! I will miss the scale of the mountains though. Something about standing at the end of an enormous valley , walled by mountains really puts things into perspective.

One of my favorite views. I get it.

Whatever you do and wherever you will find success. I love your writing and sharing the mountains with us... but there are one or two others who will carry that load for now... tropical flatland has its own adventures and I'm certain you'll find them on your journey. Congrats on your promotion, take time to breathe when you can... and I'll be waiting to read your next installment. Best to you.

This means a lot Chris. Your advice and guidance is largely what inspired me to start this project to begin with; I seriously doubt Cole's Climb would exist at all without your encouragement. "The Alpine Amusement Park" certainly would not have been made. Hope to apply what I've learned towards advocating for conservation, preservation, and responsible recreation.

Than I you so much! I don't think I ever could've been satisfied with the amount of time I had here. But I can say for sure that I lived an adventurous life these past four years. I don't think you can ever ask for more than that. Be well!

I’ve always wondered what would happen to that drive that takes me into the mountains if I moved to the flatlands ... it will be interesting to see how that energy manifests itself.

I've lived in the flatlands before. It's a different kind of adventure to be sure. But still enjoyable. I'm excited to see what it brings.
