Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm just a few months in and it is encouraging to read that things get easier as we progress. Goodness knows it sometimes feels so futile. Thanks again and Happy first Birthday!
Congratulations on making the one-year mark. It is hard to explain to someone who hasn’t done it how difficult consistency in this newsletter game is.
I totally relate to the frustrations of early-day publishing of some of your best stuff to small audiences. When I was cranking up The Storm, I pre-wrote about a dozen essays to make sure I had a consistent flow of content. I leaned on those heavily in my first 4-5 months, when the audience was still very small. They still don’t have many views. But I’m happy they’re out there. It’s proof I had the courage to push the button - and so did you. I’ll look forward to watching this community grow for the indefinite future.
Congrats on your newsletter anniversary. The quality of your work and professionalism in the visual aspects of your posts has been an inspiration for my own newsletter.
First let me say congratulations on your first year publishing. You persevered, gained a following, and share your creativity and adventure for many of us still stuck (literally and metaphorically).
I noticed in the past couple of weeks your name has been mentioned on Twitter as one of the best writers to read on Substack. It is another accomplishment to celebrate.
Keep up the great work... and your outdoor adventures. They keep many of us going, even while sidelined.
Congrats on one year of publishing!
We are indeed all on an adventure together in 2022.
